GM is asking all of its owned companies (Saab) to join its Environmental Bandwagon. The car is going to be based on one of the 9-X concepts that was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. It will be based on the E-85 flex fuel system, how that works, is that it will use one of the more environment friendly Ethanol mixed gasoline. 9-X going to use Lithium-Ion based batteries just like the revolutionizing Chevy Volt.
They further push it with an engine technology like direct injection and variable valve timing for increased efficiency and power. It has amazing looks with a X grille in the front and a Icey lights in front and the back.
This Saab is also joining the cool small car club, as that’s where the future of cars lie with things like congestion charges in major cities to think about. The concept sports rear view cameras which are retractable when you are not in the car. It has a 1.4 Liter engine, combined with the Battery and the best thing is that it will utilize a Communication system just like the Microsoft Sync developed by Sony-Ericsson for Saab.
We hope such optimism about this beautiful Swede does not get chopped by the time it hits the production from this concept.
