GM working on a special windshield with infrared sensors
August 7, 2008
GM is working on developing a windshield that could enhance the vision of the driver, especially the elderly, when driving at night or during foggy days.
The next gen windshield will feature infrared sensors to outline road conditions, as well as, alert the driver if something is fast approaching even if you can’t see anything on the windshield while driving.
The technology is far from realization but the concept can be a glimpse of the future of driving.
