Can the Internet save the car industry? Well, not sure about that. Bute hey, surfing the web while on the road (of course i don’t mean while driving) can’t hurt, right?

So listen up, folks: Ford has chosen the fabulous Opera Browser For the “Mobile Office” Computer In Ford Pickup Trucks.

Ford will be officially allowing owners of the Ford F-150, Super Duty, E-Series and Transit Connect trucks and vans to access the web from their vehicles through the Opera mobile browser.

Other hightech firms are pushing the online car movement as well by showcasing web applications for automobiles. Microsoft was working with Hyundai on making an in-car computing system and OnStar may be incorporating Twitter into its vehicle systems
