In times where a gallon of gas costs $4, driving a car may not exactly be practical. More so, getting a new car like the Hybrid Prius, a supposedly ‘green’ car. It sure is eco-friendly but the price isn’t too friendly for the pocket.

A Toyota Prius now may cost $27,000 as compared to the $24,000 selling price last year. Why? Shouldn’t car prices go down now that the gas price just zooms high almost every week? It seems there must be a new supply and demand curve in the market. Since a Prius is ecological and supposedly require less gas money. Read more

Toyota: 1 Million Prius Hybrid Sold

Toyota has announced that worldwide sales of its Prius hybrid gasoline-electric car have hit the 1 million milestone. More precisely, as of the end of April, the total number was about 1,028,000. Sales have not been linear: The first generation Prius hybrid was introduced in 1997 in Japan, it was really the 2004 model year second generation that turned it into a hit, almost tripling sales in a year (from 43.2k in 2003 to 125.7k in 2004).
