It has selected a 2.0 Liter engine to be installed; this engine is a direct injection system that produces 250 Hp and 260 Lb.Ft. of torque.

Honda Motor Co. moved one step ahead of Toyota, when they announced they will launch hybrid power-train based motor cycles. The company is doing so in response to the changing environment and the rising gas prices. It’s not only Honda as Yamaha is also testing electric bikes which are able to go up to 90 miles per charge of lithium-ion battery charge. But Honda is going to sell Gasoline-Electric Hybrids , the technology implemented will be adopted from the one used in Honda Civic and the new Insight sedan. The engine displacement will be around 200cc and 1,000cc, and the bikes will have a 50% mileage as compared to their gasoline counterparts.

In times where a gallon of gas costs $4, driving a car may not exactly be practical. More so, getting a new car like the Hybrid Prius, a supposedly ‘green’ car. It sure is eco-friendly but the price isn’t too friendly for the pocket.
A Toyota Prius now may cost $27,000 as compared to the $24,000 selling price last year. Why? Shouldn’t car prices go down now that the gas price just zooms high almost every week? It seems there must be a new supply and demand curve in the market. Since a Prius is ecological and supposedly require less gas money.

Well Prius is making a lot of money and fame for Japanese Automaker Toyota; it is the benchmark of Hybrid technology at the moment. But what if the West (Volkswagen) does the opposite what East (Toyota) did? Hybrid works by an Electric Motor that supplements the Gas or Diesel Engine, but the VW Twin Drive is the opposite. The car will have a Primary Electric Motor producing 82 Hp and a supplementing Diesel Engine with a 122 horsepower engine.
