We are well aware that Germany is the biggest auto industry when it comes to quality and quantity with a plethora of companies. Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, etc. but we are aware of the biggest rivals in the automotive arena are from the Southern German areas of Stuttgart and Bavaria, Mercedes Benz and BMW.
Pininfarina goes Electric with Sintesi

Pininfarina is set to reveal an electric car at the Paris Motor Show. The car will be developed in collaboration with a French company named Bollore. The design of the car is still under cover for this four-door automobile but the closest speculations point towards the Sintesi, which was revealed earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show. Ford’s new Eco-Boost ethanol injection

Ford is currently working on a next generation engine technology that is meant to improve engine power and reduce emissions at the same time. This project is named Bobcat. It is working on a technology that uses direct injection of Ethanol. It is said a ethanol engine due to its average octane rating of 113 is able to give high performance at high compression ratios of engine. Read more
Audi R3 to replace the Audi TT by 2013

VW Twin Drive, a reverse Hybrid

Well Prius is making a lot of money and fame for Japanese Automaker Toyota; it is the benchmark of Hybrid technology at the moment. But what if the West (Volkswagen) does the opposite what East (Toyota) did? Hybrid works by an Electric Motor that supplements the Gas or Diesel Engine, but the VW Twin Drive is the opposite. The car will have a Primary Electric Motor producing 82 Hp and a supplementing Diesel Engine with a 122 horsepower engine. Read more

FCHV: Toyota makes Fuel-Cell Car with 516 miles range …

The FCHV adv might be the next technological breakthrough after the best selling hybrid Prius. There is a Honda benchmark called the FCX Clarity, which gives a cruising range of 270 miles but the Toyota FCHV-adv gives a range of 516 miles. Such amazing numbers are achieved by increasing the storage tank from 148 to 156 liters. Read more
